Select content and filters

Objective: Define which files, groups and text to process within the available access.

Applies to: Free uses safe filters without customization. Professional controls and Custom JSON require Basic/Plus, with separate conditions per control. Structured resources are preview/report only with Free; Basic can depend on a remote quota whose amount is not certified here.

Before starting: Finish language/provider configuration and keep a copy. Do not select binary content or arbitrary code as dialogue.

Steps

1. Open the translation content/filter stage.
2. Check the presented mode. Use Simplified for the initial workflow; use Professional only when available and needed.
3. Review extracted files and groups. Customize enabled controls to include relevant content and exclude what should remain outside the batch. Free’s safe profile does not unlock customization.
4. Check map, system, plugin, script and other groups actually offered for this engine. A visible control is not necessarily enabled in every project.
5. Review plugin candidates. Finding or extracting text does not prove that every display path will be intercepted in the game.
6. Use Custom JSON only with Basic/Plus and verify recognized files and text. For CSV/TXT/spreadsheets, distinguish extraction reports from permission to translate.
7. For Pokémon Essentials/PBS, use the relevant filter only when the structure is recognized and your plan covers its engine. Do not assume every fangame is compatible.
8. Check the selection summary. Investigate missing content before starting the batch.
9. Continue to translate, cancel and resume.

Expected result: A scope compatible with the project and access is selected. This does not certify full game coverage.

If it fails: A blocked option can depend on plan, engine or state. Missing text can come from excluded filters, unrecognized structure or a particular plugin. Selecting every file is not a guaranteed fix. Record a minimal example and the relevant screen action.
