Objective: Correct available output, apply through the appropriate action and check the game.

Applies to: New translation output accessible in the editor, or an existing translation opened through Revise with Basic/Plus. The common editor is distinct from permission to reopen existing output. Review-before-apply depends on the available control.

Before starting: Preserve an original and a working copy. Safety Backup is optional and disabled by default; do not assume it covers every file. Close the game before application.

Steps

  1. Open output in the review editor through the offered workflow. If the translation was applied automatically, do not assume Free grants Revise.
  2. Compare original and translated text. Correct names, recurring terms and phrases with insufficient context.
  3. Preserve recognized commands and markers. Protection does not cover every possible pattern.
  4. Use available map/context information to interpret text. It represents relationships in data, not a recording of a running game.
  5. Check pending edits and warnings. Confirm changes through the screen workflow; do not assume every unconfirmed change survives closing.
  6. Choose one completion action: in-place application applies without necessarily opening a final summary; Finish, when offered, applies and opens a summary. You do not need both.
  7. Wait for completion. MV/MZ application prepares JSON/plugin data and updates plugin configuration; EVB can write through its container path. Legacy application involves translation data and scripts/archives according to format.
  8. Open the game copy and test menus, dialogue and representative scenes, especially custom plugins, names, commands and line breaks.
  9. For MV/MZ Free Runtime packages, keep LRPGM open and the account online. Check service conditions; no universal duration is stated here.

Expected result: Application completes and translation is available through covered runtime paths. Test the specific project to confirm its result.

If it fails: Identify whether failure is in applying, license loading or text display. Check integrity and messages before reapplying. Missing text may concern scope, extraction or a runtime hook. Disabling translation/plugin does not restore every file or altered in-memory state. Use your preserved original copy without mixing versions.
